Do we have to call you after every snowfall?
No. The pass is automatic once the contract is signed: the snow decides, not your phone.
What time do you come by, and at how much snow?
We are at the mercy of Mother Nature: it is a 24-hour service, depending on when the storm hits. We follow our route; in exceptional cases, we work something out with you. The pass happens at 5 cm for residential and 3 cm for commercial. Between 5 and 10 cm, we come by quickly if it is still snowing, then finish the driveway from 8 a.m. on.
What is included, and what is not?
The contract covers the driveway and the parking area, done with the tractor. Front steps, porches and stairs are not done, not even as an option. Abrasive, de-icing and hand shovelling are not included; abrasive is offered on request. An interlocking paver driveway may involve extra charges.
How much does it cost, and how do we pay?
It depends on the length and the shape of your driveway: we measure it on site before quoting a price. Once agreed on, the amount holds for the whole season. The contract runs from November 10 to April 1st. You can pay in two equal instalments, on November 1st and February 1st, in cash, by cheque or by transfer.
